Pregnancy and OCD

One study shows that Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can worsen in pregnancy for some women who have already been diagnosed with the disorder. There is also an increased likelihood that during pregnancy or just after a woman may be diagnosed with OCD with symptoms that are new to the person during the pregnancy or just after.
OCD is a medical issue that needs to be discussed with your practitioner. Treatment for OCD can include a variety of things including therapy and potentially medication. You should not try to diagnose or treat OCD without the help of a practitioner.
